Getting started with Telia HomeRun

To use Telia HomeRun you need a Wi-Fi (Wireless-Lan) enabled portable computer or PDA.
This implies a computer with a built in W-LAN-adaptor, alternatively that you use a PC-card for Wi-Fi.

You also need a Telia HomeRun subscription.
Finally you have to be in a Telia HomeRun hotspot.


How to log in at Telia HomeRun

1. Go to the W-LAN card settings for network ID, ESS-ID. The setting should read: homerun.

2. Go to the W-LAN card settings for encryption and turn off any encryption.

3. Check that the W-LAN card can establish contact with the network (you may need to restart your PC).

4. Launch your browser and go to https://login.homerun.telia.com (disable any proxy server settings in your browser).

5. Enter your username and password.

6. A session window with a log out button is presented together with a welcome page presenting information on the specific location.

How to log out from Telia HomeRun

1. Terminate any possible VPN-clients.

2. Click on the log out button in the session window. If you have closed the session window it can be retreived by using the link https://login.homerun.telia.com/sd/create_session_window. It is a good idea to create a shortcut to this address. This is especially relevant to users of PDAs only supporting one browser window.

3. The session window is now indicated that you are logged out.

Outgoing mail server

In order to send mail while connected to the Homerun Wireless network you might need to use our own outgoing mail server, if so then type in the following name:
mail.homerun.telia.com
